Geology
- 12 km2, more than 400 metres thick.
- lies within the regionally extensive Tertiary-aged, Kopaonik metallogenic zone, well known for lead-zinc-silver and copper mineralization related to granodiorite volcano-intrusive complexes.
Mineralization
At least five types of mineralization are presently recognized:
- copper-gold skarn
- gold skarn
- lead-zinc-copper-gold skarn
- volcanic-hosted gold and
- breccia pipe-hosted gold.
One or more untested porphyries are believed present at depth.
Activity
- 40 wide-spaced drill holes have tested a handful of the numerous targets at KMC through 2010.
- Recent highlights include: EOKSC-1037 0.52 g/t Au and 0.32% Cu over 112.7 metres, including 1.19 g/t Au and 0.44% Cu over 24.5 metres.
- 2,500 diamond drill programme completed in Q4 2011 to test new anomalies and extensions of known mineralisation.
