Health & Safety

People are the key to success in our business and their health and safety in the workplace is our responsibility. EurOmax has a very low level of work related Health and Safety incidents and we intend to maintain that low rate.

We believe that no business activity comes before personal safety and health and that all incidents, accidents and injuries are preventable by adequate training, competent supervision and personal responsibility.

The potential health and safety issues in our businesses include:

• Occupational health risks such as noise, dust, vibration, hazardous materials and gases
• Travel related risks
• Ergonomic risks related to work requirements
• General suitability for job criteria and fitness for work
  
  
We strive to develop a culture that recognizes the risks and implements processes to not just minimize the adverse health and safety impact of these risks - but totally removes that impact. We do this though individual responsibility and training - it is individuals who are injured and it is individuals who have to assess and manage the risk.

Our personnel responsible for site operations are assigned the responsibility for:

• Ensuring that all employees have read task specific policies or have received instructions regarding specific operations
• Operating and maintaining site activities in a responsible and safe manner
  
• Providing training to instill in employees the ability and desire to achieve high levels of on-the-job health and safety performance
  
• Developing and implementing rules and operating procedures to ensure a safe and healthy operating environment at a level that is over and above those required by legislation
  
• Ensuring that "toolbox" meetings are held with all project personnel at the commencement of the work day. These brief meetings instill Health & safety awareness in personnel and serve to highlight specific risks.
  

The most serious risk for personnel is the possibility of motor vehicle accidents both on off road. Driver safety awareness is stressed at company meetings and through regular EurOmax Staff Bulletins. The Company has established a You Tube Channel for the hosting of driver awareness and H&S Videos.

EurOmax incorporates Health & Safety reporting into daily drilling and activity reports prepared by project personnel and monthly reports prepared by senior staff. The Company has a rigorous emergency response and incident reporting procedure overseen by the CEO. We take Health & Safety very seriously.
