Our Commitment

We consider environmental management as a corporate priority and we are fully committed to achieving compatibility between economic development and the maintenance of our environment.

We care about sustainability, preserving our environment for future generations, while also providing for safe, responsible and profitable operations by developing our natural resources for the benefit our employees, shareholders and community.  Further, we believe that natural resources can be developed and utilized in a manner consistent with best environmental practice.

We ensure, through all aspects of our business, that our personnel, our contractors and service providers give consideration to the natural environment, its air, land, water and flora and fauna and to environmental impacts on local communities.   We have developed comprehensive environmental policy materials and incorporate environmental statements in all contracts that impact the environment.

We will achieve the highest standards of environmental awareness and minimal impact by complying with all environmental laws and by:

• Integrating environmental impact planning into all exploration and development, closure and reclamation activities;
• Identifying and conserving populations of flora and fauna that may be affected by our activities;
• Promoting environmental awareness among our personnel and contractors;
• Developing environmental field manuals for all operations;
• Reviewing and auditing the environmental impact of our operations, improving compliance, reducing emissions, identifying recycling opportunities and improving energy efficiency;
• Rehabilitating the environment affected by our activities.
